There will be an important Booster meeting this Sunday evening (March 2nd) at the Rec Center (Classroom B) at 6:30 p.m.  Everyone is encouraged to attend, especially if you are interested in serving on next year's Board.  We have several topics to "wrap up" from this season and other things to discuss so that we can move forward into the 2008-2009 season.  Please plan to attend!

Banquet and Sweatsuit Info

The Year-End Banquet is set for March 5.  The RSVP deadline is March 1 to Jackie Spornhauer.  Please contact her if you have any questions concerning the banquet.

Also, the Booster Board has decided that the Boosters will no longer be responsible for team sweats in the future.  Starting next season, swimmers and divers will purchase their own team sweats.  Because of this, we are doing the following:
(1)  Seniors:  You are allowed to keep your current team sweats free of charge, courtesy of the Boosters.  If you do not want your sweats, please return them washed and in a plastic bag  with your name attached to the bag to Jackie Spornhauer at the Banquet.
(2)  Underclassmen:  You have the option to purchase your current sweats for $25.  If you do not want your sweats, please return them washed and in a plastic bag with your name attached to the bag to Jackie Spornhauer at the Banquet.

Please note that their are only two options for Underclassmen---bring a check made out for $25 to the DCHS Swim & Dive Boosters to the Banquet or bring your laundered sweats in a plastic bag with your name attached to the bag to the Banquet.  Either way, you need to bring either a check or your sweats to the Banquet---no exceptions.  Thanks for your help with this!

Districts Info

Let's show our support for our swimmers this weekend in Athens.  For some swimmers, this will be their last opportunity to qualify for states.  Some are close to qualifying individually and some relays will need that extra boost to get them to Canton.  We want as many boys and girls to get to states to share that same experience and atmosphere as last year.

The boys will be competing at 11:00am Friday.  Doors open at 9:30am and seats cannot be reserved or saved.  Therefore, please line up at 9:30am and look for Mike O'Brien as he has
our swim banner.

The girls will compete at 6:00pm Saturday.  Doors open at 4:30pm.  However, parents of all girl qualifiers will be gathering at BW3's in Athens at 2:30pm for a pre-meet warm-up.  BW3's
is located at 23 W. Union St., between Union and S. Court St.  It is a short walk to the pool
where we will enter at 4:30pm.

All information for District meet can be obtained by going to swimmeet.com.  Drive time to Athens is approximately 1 hour and 45 mins.

Let's Rock Athens and have a great show of support for our swimmers.  Wear GREEN and
GO ROCKS!!
